it really means so much to help put on an event to raise money for friends in Gaza and to reject Boiler Room's botched Detroit installment and the shameless clout-chasing DJs who either stuck through the bill from the start or were quietly added on days before the event took place. the insidious Zionist cultural hijacking attempts to erase dance music's history of resistance against systems of injustice and brutality in favor of a corporatized shill that funnels money and cultural capital to the military machine responsible for the extermination of Palestinian humanity and dignity. your attendance last night demonstrates that our Detroit community firmly stands against Israel's atrocities and those who continue to stay silent, that we can build a culture of uplifting one another in speaking truth to power.
